Civil Service unions in Ireland have announced a 24-hour strike on Wednesday 14 October 2026, which is expected to impact Revenue services and customs clearance activities across Irish ports and airports. As a result, customers may experience delays to the processing and customs clearance of mail and parcel shipments entering or leaving Ireland. Revenue has advised that trade facilitation services will operate with very limited capacity during the period of industrial action.

Due to planned infrastructure works at Ministro Pistarini International Airport (Ezeiza – EZE), inbound international mail to Argentina will be suspended from 25 October to 11 November 2026. Customers are advised to dispatch mail by 19 October 2026 to maximise the likelihood of arrival before the suspension begins. Mail in transit during this period may be subject to delays.

Ongoing transport and industrial action in parts of France may result in temporary delays to parcel collection, transit and delivery. While services continue to operate, customers may experience extended transit times in affected areas due to transport network disruption and reduced operational capacity.

Please note at this time, we are unable to accept items addressed to Gaza or Khan Yunis and The West Bank.

Thai Post has advised that heavy rainfall has caused flooding and disruption to transportation networks across central and eastern Thailand, including the Bangkok Metropolitan Region. As a result, delays may occur in the transportation, processing and delivery of postal items. Affected postcode regions include 10XXX, 11XXX, 12XXX, 13XXX, 15XXX, 20XXX, 21XXX, 22XXX, 23XXX, 24XXX, 25XXX, 26XXX, 27XXX, 30XXX, 31XXX, 32XXX, 36XXX and 60XXX.

Mail and parcels destined for Cuba cannot be delivered due to fuel shortages affecting air transport operations.

Nepal Post have informed us that a catastrophic flood on the Bhotekoshi River at 8.40 (local time) on the 26 August 2026, has caused a major loss of life and property in the Rasuwa, Nuwakot, Dhading, Gorkha and Chitwan districts, including damage to major highways. As a result, the processing and conveyance of all domestic and inbound and outbound international mail (letter-post, parcel-post and EMS items) in Nepal are subject to disruption, which is expected to last for several weeks.

Despatch is to resume from 27th August 2026 via alternate airport and OE after earthquake. Delays may still be likely due to earthquake damage to some regions.

Mail and parcels destined for Argentina may be delayed due to a backlog at customs. Tracking information may also be incomplete.

Jamaica Post has updated that while there has been marginal improvement, delays are still to be expected in mail delivery and the transmission of electronic messages/updates; as some parts of the postal network have not been restored to pre-hurricane conditions and are still operating from temporary locations.

Parcels destined for Italy may experience delays due to increased customs clearance volumes following the introduction of new EU customs regulations, combined with ongoing IT issues affecting Poste Italiane’s processing operations. Recovery measures are in place.

Japan Post has informed that the strong earthquake on 28 July 2026 has severely impacted Kumamoto, Miyazaki and Kagoshima prefectures, causing major disruption to rail and road transportation in the affected areas and neighbouring regions, where all mail is subject to delays: The postcode areas affected are as follows:- 860xxxx – 869xxxx (Kumamoto prefecture); 880xxxx; 889xxxx (Miyazaki prefecture); and 890xxxx – 899xxxx (Kagoshima prefecture)

Mail and parcels destined for Morocco may have incomplete tracking information due to an IT issue at our postal partner.

The delivery of shipments is not affected.

Mail and parcels destined for Ecuador may experience delays due to processing issues and a backlog at our network partner.

Chilean Post have informed us that new customs regulations require taxes on goods imported into Chile to be paid at origin. Many items are arriving without the required VAT or sufficient electronic advance data, leading to a build‑up of consignments awaiting customs evaluation. As a result, delays may be observed.

Due to the implementation of EU customs reforms and enhanced customs clearance requirements, customers may experience expected delays to some EU-bound shipments.

Mail and parcels destined for Algeria may experience delays due to processing issues and a backlog within our network partner’s operations.

Democratic Republic of the Congo Post has advised that the suspension of transport routes in areas under rebel occupation remains in effect. As a result, secure postal delivery cannot currently be assured in the eastern provinces, specifically North Kivu, South Kivu and Ituri. Postal services to all other regions of the Democratic Republic of the Congo continue to operate normally.
